Job Description
Due to high demand we are seeking an enthusiastic communityfocused person who want to make a difference by connecting and supporting older people within the Alpine Shire towns of Bright Myrtleford and Mount Beauty.
About this Role
- You will provide compassionate homebased care by building trust and taking the lead to support individuals to live as independently as possible at home and stay connected to their community.
- Individual care that is tailored to suit the personal needs of our individual clients.
Duties
- Provide personal care to our clients including assistance with showering dressing grooming toileting and mobility.
- Provide general home support and light housekeeping duties assistance with meal preparations and companionship.
- Provide incidental transport to appointments shopping and social outings.
Skills & Experience
- Certificate III in Individual Support
- Possess exceptional communication skills cando attitude empathy for and an understanding of the needs of the elderly.
- Have patience and a desire to help improve the lives of seniors and their families.
- Be personable compassionate approachable and able to build relationships with each of your clients.
- Be reliable responsive efficient confident and proactive.
- Value and enjoy the company of older people.
Preferred Requirements
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence and have access to a reliable car and comprehensive car insurance.
- NDIS Worker Screening Test
- Level 2 First Aid
- Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or have a Right to Work in Australia.
