Status:Permanent FullTime (35 hours per week)
Salary: $104949 $120692 per annum 11.5% superannuation
Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. OurCommunity Development team is seeking a Social Planner.
Purpose:
The Social Planner is responsible for engaging the community on the development of strategic documents that assist Council to meet community objectives. The role provides advice about local cultural economic environmental and social standards based on data public policy and behavioural trends that influence Councils broader planning investment and decisionmaking processes.
About the role:
- Facilitate the development monitoring and review of Councils social plans and strategies
- Provide advice on the application of data and policy to Councils priority focus areas and community development programs
- Apply appropriate impact assessment and evaluation tools to determine the effectiveness of Councils activities programs and plans
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences Urban Planning or related discipline
- Demonstrate experience preparing evidencebased studies and needs assessments and experience developing strategy plans and procedural documents that address these issues
- Comprehensive understanding of the issues faced by communities experiencing vulnerability or hardship the policy landscape and service challenges
