LOCATION OF POSITION

MDH Carroll County Health Department
Westminster MD 21157

Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to plan develop implement and evaluate multiple programs within Community Health Services. This position will be responsible for staff supervision regulatory compliance quality assurance performance improvement training competencies and staff development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A Masters degree in nursing or related field from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Two years of experience as a Community Health Nurse in an administrative supervisory consultative or teaching capacity or one year of experience as a Community Health Nurse and two years of experience in an administrative supervisory consultative or teaching capacity as a Registered Nurse.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute a Bachelors degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and two years of experience as a Community Health Nurse for the required education.

2. Candidates may substitute a Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and three years of experience as a Community Health Nurse for the required education.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nursing classification or Nursing or Health Care Specialist specialty codes in the nursing field of work on a yearforyear basis for the required experience and education.


DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should possess the following:

1. Management and leadership experience of clinical and nonclinical staff.

2. Experience in policy development performance improvement and staff development.

3. Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish and English.

LICENSES REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

1. Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing 4140 Patterson Avenue Baltimore Maryland 21215.

2. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of an automobile. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operators license valid in the State of Maryland.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Employees in this classification will be required to provide the facility with a telephone number at which they can be reached.
