About the role

This role contributes to the success of the City by providing leadership and daytoday management of field staff contractors and volunteers in the delivery of fire and biodiversity program field works.

Role accountabilities include:

  • Ensure all field work programs are completed safely and effectively and to agreed budgets and timelines utilising the team effectively
  • Assist with project plans budgets and technical specifications and monitor project expenditure against budget and report on and audit delivery of field works.
  • In consultation with the coordinator monitor and record field work information and provide advice contributing to the development of policy and plans service levels and standards for the Citys bushfire and biodiversity management programs.
  • Assist with planning and coordination of Fire and Biodiversity Program asset construction renewal and maintenance and projects.

About you

We are looking for candidates with a Certificate Level IV in Conservation Land Management Frontline Management or similar related field. This qualification along with significant experience in natural area management is highly desirable.

A current Drivers Licence is essential. Additionally having at least 23 years experience would be advantageous.
