New Era Colorado Foundation and New Era Colorado Action Fund is seeking a fulltime Senior Organizing Manager who will manage our regional organizing hubs and design leadership development programs to engage young people in the political process and win on the Youth Agenda.

About the position:
New Eras next Senior Organizing Manager will be responsible for managing and developing organizers in our five regional organizing hubs (Northern Colorado Boulder Denver Southern Colorado and the Western Slope). You will support our ontheground organizing strategy by developing and supporting organizers to build and engage a base of young people execute regional and statewide issue campaigns and develop relationships with local partners and government in their regions. Additionally you will manage and support the design of our leadership development pipeline to ensure Regional Lead Organizers are moving young people in our regions from activists to resourced and skilled leaders.
As a member of New Eras program leadership team you will collaborate with the Organizing Director in shaping the strategic direction of New Eras statewide grassroots organizing in order to build political power for young Coloradans while advancing the Youth Agenda! As part of the full leadership team you will consult on organizational decisions strategy and ensure a strong organizational culture. Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Organizing Manager reports to the Organizing Director Director and is responsible for:
Design and manage our leadership development Design and manage New Eras leadership development pipeline by supporting Regional Lead Organizers to recruit and move young people from activists to leaders in support of the Youth Agenda. Play a critical role in the development and maintenance of our leadership ladder. This includes managing and supporting the Organizing Director in redesigning our preregistration program the Colorado Democracy Challenge to be a more holistic civic engagement training program for high schoolaged young people.
Managing our regional organizing hubs Manage support grow and develop New Eras five Regional Lead Organizers to develop their regional organizing hubs by engaging young people in their communities through the political process and developing them as leaders. Support RLOs in developing the peertopeer organizing and coalition building strategy for all of New Eras locallybased issue campaigns.
Program and organizational leadership Work closely as a strategic thought partner with the Organizing Director and the rest of program leadership to design strategic programmatic campaigns. Advise on strategic decisions identifying goals strategies and tactics for achieving change and building out campaign plans as an organizational leader with the Regional Lead Organizers in mind. Work to facilitate strong working relationships and communication across New Eras program team. Work with the full leadership team to ensure organizational strategy cohesion and a strong team culture.

You have the ability to build lead foster and empower staff to meet the results and outcomes of the work. You have an eye for effectiveness and equity and you are excited to foster learning and growth.
Strategic project planner:You are a strategic and flexible project planner with the ability to manage and execute organizing campaigns with a human centered approach. You can plan a campaign from start to finish and support Regional Lead Organizers to do the same.
Relationship building:You have the ability to deepen cultivate and manage relationships with partners stakeholders and coalitions. You are ready to lead others to grow these skills and manage them to hold and foster their own programmatic relationships.
Fluency commitment and leadership to antiracism and equity:You have a deep investment in New Eras antiracism and equity work and are committed to support and lead the organization through its growth. You have the ability todesign and center equity and antiracism in plans.
Commitment to New Eras mission:You are passionate about the work New Era does to engage young people in the political process and believe in the power of peertopeer organizing. You believe in the power of young people grassroots organizing and policy change.
Preferred but not required
Experience with political databases including VAN EveryAction and ThruTalk
Prior knowledge or experience working in Colorados political landscape and progressive ecosystem
This position is based out of New Eras Denver office This position will also require occasional travel to our regional hubs in Northern Southern and Western Colorado. This is a permanent fulltime exempt managementlevel position. The salary range is $67500$72500annualized commensurate with experience.
