Job Description
Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a strategic data analytics and consulting firm who is seeking seasoned Controllerto join their dynamic team based in Washington DC. As the Controller you will oversee a team of 45 professionals and ensure the seamless financial operations of our clients organization.
Title: Controller
Location:Washington DC
Work Environment: 5 days onsite for training/acclimation period then hybrid 3 days onsite with 2 days remote
Salary Range: $165000 $175000 base 20% bonus

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of 45 finance professionals.
- Oversee fullcycle accounting and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Work closely with partners for reporting and results analysis.
- Collaborate with the company President on traditional compliance and reporting of actuals.
- Support our CPA firm during financial reviews.
- Conduct thorough reviews of payroll processes.
- Produce clean financial statements and manage general ledger upkeep.
- Proven experience as a Controller role.
- Strong proficiency with Deltek Vision or other Deltek platforms preferred and/or strong ERP savviness.
- Experience in a multientity professional services environment is preferred.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Demonstrated success in managing and developing finance teams.
- Strong communication skills capable of working with senior leadership.
- Working partners for reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate with company President on actuals reporting.
- Support CPA firm during financial reviews.
- Payroll review and management.
