The Data Warehouse team is responsible for ensuring that TCGplayers data warehouse has accurate and timely information to support the reporting and analytics needs of the business. Our team prides itself on a culture that fosters camaraderie embraces diversity and exudes passion! As a member of the team you will play a pivotal role in TCGplayers data strategy by combining your technical experience in the Data Warehousing space with the ability to take the lead on projects and provide valuable input toward organizational direction.
What you will accomplish:
Design develop and support data processing pipelines which meet functional requirements minimize technical debt and adhere to organizational standards
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate business objectives into actionable technical requirements
Design implement and maintain data models to support the reporting and analytics needs of the business
Design develop and optimize queries to support data discovery analysis and reporting.
Conduct thorough discovery to identify and address data quality issues ensuring the data is accurate complete accessible for business needs and properly secured
Identify and implement performance improvements in data warehousing systems reducing query times and optimizing resource usage
What you will bring:
Bachelors degree in computer science information technology or a related field or a combination of education and experience
8 years or more experience in designing and implementing data models and data pipelines which are scalable reliable and efficient
Strong skillsets for both data modeling and query design for Snowflake coupled with significant experience in one or more other database technologies PostgreSQL and MongoDB strongly preferred
At least moderate experience with dbt or similar tools
At least moderate experience with implementing and supporting data governance within mediumtolarge organizations
Ability to utilize written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively both within the team and with other teams in the organization
