Job Description
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of critically ill patients.
- Manage life support systems and monitor vital signs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal care delivery.
- Perform and supervise invasive procedures as needed.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
- Educate and mentor residents and medical staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients families on treatment options.
- Participate in hospital rounds and case discussions.
- Evaluate and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions.
- Respond to emergency situations with decisive action.
- Provide leadership in ethical decisionmaking processes.
- Stay updated with advances in critical care medicine.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree.
- Boardcertified in Critical Care Medicine.
- Completion of a residency in Internal Medicine or Anesthesia.
- Fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine.
- Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Minimum 5 years experience in an ICU setting.
- Strong understanding of advanced life support techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in highstress environments.
- Knowledge of current clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Experience in clinical research is a plus.
- Ability to lead and inspire a healthcare team.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR).
- Crisis intervention skills.
- Exemplary ethics and patient advocacy experience.
