Overview
The Visiting Consultant DM DrNB Medical Oncologist plays a pivotal role in providing specialized oncological care to patients. This role is crucial within our healthcare organization as it ensures that patients receive the highest standard of treatment for various cancer types. The Medical Oncologist will work closely with other health professionals and will be responsible for diagnosing cancer creating effective treatment plans and overseeing patient care throughout the treatment journey. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams allows for an integrated approach to oncology facilitating personalized patient management that aligns with the latest research and treatment guidelines. As a visiting consultant the oncologist will also contribute to the development of clinical protocols participate in educational programs and mentor junior staff. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and provide treatment for various types of cancers.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for oncology patients.
- Conduct consultations and followup assessments for cancer patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases.

- Educate patients and families on treatment options and cancer management.
- Manage side effects and complications of cancer treatments.
- Participate in clinical trials and research initiatives to enhance treatment protocols.
- Advise on palliative care and endoflife options when necessary.
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in medical records.
- Enhance oncology protocols and guidelines based on emerging research.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior doctors and medical staff.
- Contribute to community outreach programs focused on cancer awareness.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety protocols in treatment administration.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS degree from a recognized medical school.
- DM or DrNB in Medical Oncology is mandatory.
- Valid medical license to practice in the relevant location.
- A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in oncology.
- Experience in a multidisciplinary cancer care setting.
- Research experience in oncology directly relevant to clinical practices.
- Strong knowledge of current cancer treatment procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
- Effective organizational and timemanagement skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR).
- Commitment to patientcentered care and advocacy.
