Job Summary:
As a WordPress Web Engineer Intern you will play a vital role in supporting the development and maintenance of WordPressbased websites. This position is essential in ensuring the seamless function of web platforms and providing a userfriendly experience to visitors. You will have the opportunity to learn and apply web engineering skills under the guidance of experienced professionals contributing to the growth and success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Website Development: Assist in the development and maintenance of WordPressbased websites.
- Theme & Plugin Implementation: Implement custom themes and plugins to meet specific project requirements.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize website performance and ensure responsiveness.
- Design Collaboration: Collaborate with the design team to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Website Maintenance: Perform website updates and troubleshoot any issues.
- Technical Problem Solving: Conduct testing to identify and resolve technical problems.
- Content Management: Assist in website content management and updates.
- Industry Trend Awareness: Stay updated on web development trends and best practices.
- SEO Support: Provide support in the implementation of SEO best practices.
- Security Monitoring: Assist in website security and performance monitoring.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions.
- Process Documentation: Document website development processes and procedures.
- ThirdParty Integration: Assist in the integration of thirdparty applications and tools.
- Accessibility Standards: Support in the implementation of accessibility standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Enrollment in a relevant degree program such as Computer Science Web Development or a related field.
- Web Development Knowledge: Basic understanding of web development languages including HTML CSS and JavaScript.
- WordPress Familiarity: Familiarity with the WordPress content management system.
- PHP Knowledge: Knowledge of PHP programming language.
- ProblemSolving Skills: Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Teamwork & Independence: Ability to work well within a team and independently.
