Job Duties :
- Manage all daytoday facility operations including:
- Conference and event planning
- IT/Audio Visual/Satellite systems instruction/support
- Planning directing organizing the facility to include scheduling and classroom management for meetings/instruction for the Education and Training Services Facility.
- Exercise control over daily classroom scheduling/setup/troubleshooting; audiovisual functions; IT communication operating systems for over 14000 individuals using the facility per year.
- Provide facilities/equipment operational support.
- End user training and logistics to all federal state & local agencies using the Vandenberg Education and Training Services Facility.
- Technical Support & Management: Serve as the primary IT point of contact for all AV computer and lighting systems for events ensuring smooth operations and troubleshooting issues.
- Facility Operations: Oversee daily operations of the Education and Training Building including scheduling resource coordination and managing classroom usage via Smartsheet.
- Event & Resource Coordination: Plan organize and manage highlevel events coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure facility resources (personnel equipment and space) meet event needs.
- Equipment & Facility Maintenance: Ensure proper upkeep and functionality of all facility equipment (computers projectors AV systems). Maintain records for all equipment and handle repairs and upgrades.
- IT & Network Troubleshooting: Manage and troubleshoot IT issues related to classroom hardware/software network problems and ensure all systems are operating efficiently.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety and security standards including Force Protection Conditions (FPCON) and facility inspections for safety hazards.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain necessary records reports and statistical data for facility operations and IT requests ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with contractors and service vendors for facility maintenance and repairs ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
- Associate degree in related mechanical or electrical field preferred but not required. Equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
Experience & skills required:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience serving as a facility local point of contact and technical expert for all computer audiovisual and lighting requirements for events and training.
- Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience assisting with scheduling and conducting Satellite Broadcast Courses
- Knowledge of common military protocol practices procedures regulations precedents and guidelines.
- Knowledge of basic methods and procedures for operating a variety of basic computer systems and audiovisual equipment for conference/training/classroom presentations.
- Knowledge of a wide range of concepts principles and practices technical equipment classroom scheduling facility management equipment management and management information systems/audio visual equipment.
- Knowledge of basic methods and procedures for operating a variety of basic computer systems and audiovisual equipment for conference/training/classroom presentations.
- Skills to assist troubleshoot and instruct individuals with varying skill levels on classroom/ technology set up and usage of equipment.
- Ability to gather assemble and analyze program information draw conclusions and devise solutions to meet mission objectives or resolve problems.
- Must demonstrate financial and operational management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience must have been obtained within the past five (5) years preceding the job posting date.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
