Job Overview:
The Senior System Analyst will serve as the primary onsite IT support for the clients infrastructure ensuring systems are running smoothly providing troubleshooting and maintaining network hardware/software. This position is responsible for handson technical support coordination with remote staff and ensuring all IT systems meet the City s needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide handson IT support and troubleshooting for servers workstations mobile devices and other network equipment.
- Manage ArcGIS Online administration including adding/removing users and managing permissions.
- Maintain and update GIS layers such as zoning property details infrastructure and code enforcement.
- Provide mapping support (PDFs hardcopy maps) for City staff.
- Fulfill GIS data requests from internal stakeholders and the public.
- Assist with WebGIS application migration to Experience Builder and provide integration support with OpenGov and other platforms.
- Ensure smooth operation of GIS tools integrated with City systems.
- Ensure the City s IT systems are functioning optimally through regular system monitoring and preventive maintenance.
- Coordinate with remote staff (Systems Engineer) for issue resolution and system management.
- Act as the lead for resolving service tickets and escalating unresolved issues to higherlevel support as necessary.
- Monitor and manage software systems including Office 365 Suite SharePoint Zoom RIMS and others.
- Handle emergency IT issues that arise during normal business hours.
- Work closely with the City s IT team and stakeholders to implement IT improvements.
- Provide training and support for City staff on IT system usage.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in IT systems support analysis and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure servers workstations and mobile devices.
- Familiarity with software like Microsoft Office 365 SharePoint and Zoom.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical issues to nontechnical users.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple IT priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A Cisco CCNA Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or equivalent certifications are preferred.
