This position is located at our Honolulu Office.
Position Summary:
The Inventory Control Clerk monitors and maintains accurate records of inventory transactions across multiple storage areas including freezers and chill spaces. This position works closely with the receiving warehouse and accounting teams to ensure inventory integrity and support smooth product flow from dock to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily cycle counts and spotchecks to verify inventory accuracy
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by coordinating with receiving warehouse and accounting staff
Enter inventory adjustments and transactions into ERP or inventory management systems
Reconcile lot numbers expiration dates and traceability data in accordance with company and FSMA standards
Monitor and report on inventory variances and trends
Assist in monthly quarterly and annual physical inventory counts
Maintain organized and accurate inventory records including for crossdock and thirdparty storage locations
Help ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO) and product traceability
Assist with labeling tagging and bin location updates for new or moved products
Support freezer and chill space layout changes by updating system data accordingly
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in logistics or supply chain is a plus
12 years of experience in inventory control warehousing or distribution (seafood or perishable goods preferred)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP or inventory systems is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work in cold environments (freezers and chill rooms) as needed
Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and being on your feet for extended periods
Team player with good communication skills and a proactive mindset
Work Environment:
Mix of office and warehouse environment
Exposure to cold temperatures when conducting physical inventory
Schedule: Monday through Friday with occasional weekends or extended hours during peak periods
