Job Purpose:
To control inventory accuracy by handling and transacting all jobs through the Materials Control Clerk.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is required to assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws regulations and standards good business practices and company documented procedures (including but not limited to Quality Systems Regulations ISO 9001/13485 government occupational health and environmental regulations and statutes).
Job Material Picking
Core Responsibility
Use Pick Ticket to accurately select materials for production jobs
Ensure accurate and efficient delivery of materials to the production team
Manage shortage reports working directly with the Planner/Buyer
Complete required material transactions in ERP
Distribution Assistance
Secondary Responsibility
Assist Shipper in picking distribution parts for shipments as needed
Assist Receiving in receiving distribution deliveries as needed
Inventory Accuracy
Core Responsibility
Use FirstInFirstOut (FIFO) inventory method
Maintain Inventory accuracy through cycle counting
Complete required material transactions in ERP
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English.
Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems.
Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently with excellent attentiontodetail.
Computer literate ability to learn company software programs such as the ERP system.
Must possess the ability to work well as a team member.
Must be able to work under minimal supervision and must work closely with other employees in production and planning.
Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Qualifications:
Minimum
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English.
Understanding of Manufacturing and Inventory Control.
Experience using an ERP system.
Preferred:
Inventory/part picking experience.
Manufacturing experience.
M1 ERP experience.
Physical Requirements/Capabilities:
Ability to use hands to finger handle or feel and the ability to talk and hear.
Ability to frequently sit for prolonged amounts of time stand walk reach with hands and arms length climb or balance stoop or bend push pull kneel and crouch as job requires.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to climb a ladder on a frequent basis.
Must be able to use a computer for extended periods of time.
