Telecommunications Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a fulltime Telecommunications Maintenance Technician to support our construction teams by troubleshooting and repairing infrastructure issues across multiple markets. The primary focus is to repair construction issues and ensure access for installers. The ideal candidate is a motivated selfstarter with strong technical skills communication abilities and a willingness to work outdoors in various conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to assigned markets each week to perform maintenance and repairs Monday Friday.
- Troubleshoot installer access issues at various job sites.
- Locate inspect and repair conduit systems flowerpots and vaults.
- Use utility locators to find underground pipes and utilities.
- Rod conduits to confirm continuity and improve access.
- Restore disturbed earth by reseeding and applying straw during site visits.
- Communicate daily with the Construction Managers through production reports jobsite updates photos and equipment requests.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and to company standards.
- Responsible for stocking cleaning and reporting maintenance needs to the Fleet Manager since you will be assigned a company vehicle.
Qualifications:
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic proficiency with power tools and hand tools.Proficient with technology (smartphone laptop or tablet use).
- Must be highly selfmotivated and able to work independently.
- Previous utility locating experience is a plus but not .
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor tasks in various weather conditions and environments.
- Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- This job will include traveling Monday Friday. If you spend the night in a hotel you will receive hotel accommodations and per diem for every night you spend the night
