The transplant nurse coordinator leads the multidisciplinary team and is responsible for monitoring a subset of patients awaiting living donor kidney transplant. The Nurse Coordinator provides expert nursing care for patients awaiting kidney transplant including those involved in paired kidney exchange transplants. The Nurse Coordinator serves as a contact point for patients referring physicians paired kidney donation organizations other transplant centers and other staff. The Nurse Coordinator facilitates the workup and care of the patient awaiting kidney transplant. The Nurse Coordinator provides leadership for collaborative patient care manages transplant logistics with emphasis on kidney donation and paired donation. The Nurse Coordinator provides education continuity of patient care for the entire period of care including inpatient outpatient or both. Two years of clinical experience must be in the area of specialization specifically organ donation or outpatient transplantation. The coordinator shall evaluate the potential kidney donor or pretransplant recipient telephonically and then proceed with viable candidates through defined workflow as documented. This position requires the flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $91.20 $118.34 (Hourly Rate).
