Job Description

Since 1957 weve assisted a wide array of populations throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania focusing on those generally underserved by traditional services including senior citizens veterans individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities individuals on the autism spectrum and youths who have aged out of foster care.
To further our mission we are looking for a Maintenance Technician.
Position Overview:
Centre Avenue Housing is newly remodeled 4 story building offering Single Occupancy Housing (SRO) in the Hill District. We are looking for a well round handy person to take on various maintenance needs as well up keep of the building. Must be willing to step and and take on all tasks from cleaning to repair with no issue. Should take pride and ownership in making sure the building looks its best at all times
Job Responsibilities
- Light Maintenance to include plumbing such as toilet clogs change resident locks and cut keys.
- Interior building upkeep which includes vacuuming halls carpet cleaning cleaning of restrooms.
- General building maintenance painting patching changing filters
- Completion of work orders and monitor outstanding works.
- Monitor room turn over schedule and ensure maintenance painting are completed before next move in.
- Assists with apartment turnovers following company procedures.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of all equipment/tools/supplies at property.
- Pick up trash at property daily.
- Clean all property areas daily and if condition demands e.g. spills dirty lobby areas etc.
- Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner e.g. daily weekly & monthly reporting forms work orders travel expenses.
- Interacting with residents tenants staff and contractors.
- Walk building and exterior daily and ensure the grounds maintained. Includes on call for snow removal. Picking up trash and yard work as needed.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent.
- Familiarity with electricity plumbing and carpentry
