How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW
Responsibilities will include processing purchase orders from MRP negotiating with suppliers tracking orders and liaising with inventory teams and management.
Research select and purchase quality products and materials.
Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best
pricing.
Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
Coordinate with the inventory team management and stockroom as
required.
Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to
suppliers and management.
Handle outside processing.
Disposition NCRs on time.
Coordinate with accounting for supplier payments / resolutions etc.
Education & Experience
HS Diploma or GED is required
Bachelors Degree is preferred
Relevant experience preferred
Excellent computer skills (Excel Microsoft Word PowerPoint).
SAP
Critical thinking and negotiation skills.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Knowledge and Skills
The Buyer will work with staff across departments and make purchase decisions
based on demand.
The Buyer should be analytically minded and possess excellent negotiating skills to
secure the best prices according to budget.
Shall be an initiator.
Shall show adaptability to various changes towards improving efficiency of the
process.
Knowledge of sales and marketing principles is advantageous.
The annual base salary range for this position in California is $78000 $95000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Air Liquide considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position candidates work experience education/ training key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
