Description
Our client a wellestablished professional consulting firm in Johannesburg specialising in construction cost management and quantity surveying is seeking a seasoned Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) to lead and manage highvalue projects (R50 million). This role includes overseeing internal project teams mentoring junior staff and acting as Principal Agent on complex building and engineering contracts (JBCC NEC FIDIC).
Requirements:
- BSc Hons degree in Quantity Surveying
- Registered PrQS with SACQSP
- 10 years postregistration experience
- Strong background in both building and engineering projects
- Experience in a consulting environment essential
- ASAQS membership preferred
- Lead full project lifecycle from inception to closeout
- Drive value engineering and cost control innovations
- Chair consultant and contractor meetings
- Use industrystandard software (QsPlus WinQS Dimension X)
- Business development involvement
