Position Summary

The Content Strategist Corporate and Foundation Communications plays a pivotal role in bringing Versitis lifesaving mission to life through strategic storytelling and highimpact content. Reporting to the Director of Corporate and Foundation Communications this position will craft and execute compelling content that elevates the visibility and reputation of the worldrenowned Versiti Blood Research Institute (VBRI) and the Versiti corporate brand. This position will also drive awareness and philanthropic support for our cause.

Responsibilities

  • Content Strategy & Development Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that strengthens the VBRIs visibility and reputation Versiti corporate brand storytelling and broad fund development initiatives. Shape the voice and messaging for donor and researchfocused communications across multiple platforms. Collaborate with the Director of Corporate and Foundation Communications to integrate content initiatives into Versitis overall communications strategy.
  • Storytelling & Content Creation Write edit and curate highimpact contentincluding philanthropic donor stories research features web articles newsletters annual reports social media content and marketing materials. Translate complex scientific and philanthropic narratives into accessible compelling and emotionally resonant storytelling. Ensure all content reflects Versitis mission values and brand voice while driving engagement and action.
  • Digital & Social Media Optimization Optimize content for digital platforms ensuring best practices for SEO social media engagement email marketing and donor communications. Develop content strategies that maximize audience reach and engagement leveraging platformspecific storytelling approaches. Monitor emerging trends and technologies to continuously enhance digital content performance.
  • DataDriven Insights & Content Performance Utilize analytics tools to track content engagement effectiveness and conversion impact. Report on content performance providing datadriven recommendations to refine strategy and improve engagement. Leverage donor and stakeholder insights to personalize and enhance content resonance.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Partner with researchers donors and organizational leaders to identify compelling stories that showcase VBRIs research advancements Versitis corporate impact and philanthropic success stories. Work crossfunctionally with PR media and creative teams to ensure a cohesive and unified communications strategy. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align content development with organizational priorities and campaign initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
  • Understands and performs in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Complies with all standard operating policies and procedures

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Communications Journalism Marketing Public Relations or a related field required

Experience

  • 35 years of experience in content strategy writing or editorial development preferably within nonprofit research philanthropy or corporate brand storytelling environments required
  • 13 years Proven experience in developing and executing multichannel content strategies that drive audience engagement required
  • 13 years Strong background in storytelling content marketing and brand messaging with an emphasis on digital platforms required

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Exceptional writing and editorial skills with a strong portfolio showcasing storytelling across digital and print platforms required
  • Proficiency in SEO content marketing and digital engagement strategies required
  • Ability to translate technical and scientific contentinto compelling accessible narratives for diverse audiences required
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment required
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) email marketing platforms and social media tools is a plus required
