Job Description
Seeking detail oriented empathetic animal lovers who want to work over the Thanksgiving Christmas and New Years holidays during Spring Break and the Summer months caring for pets. The position will start immediately and continue past the holiday season but we need people specifically willing to work morning midday evenings and even overnight during our busiest times.
Passionately Pets a local InHome Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Company is currently hiring exceptional pet sitters anddog walkersto join our wonderfulteam. This position isfun and rewarding as you get to enjoy the outdoors get exercise and be loved by amazing local dogs cats and other companion animals!
Pet SitterResponsibilities:
- Workweekdays weekends and holidays as visits vary based on client needs
- Enterthe homes of clients and visit with their pets for varying lengths of time (usually 15 30 minutes each)
- Act as primary care givers for pets while their owners are away
- Walk pets as requested
- Feedpets as requested
- Provide appropriate litterbox and/or cage clean up as required
- Check that pets have ample clean water supply and refill as necessary
- Patrol homes for accidents ordamage caused by pets in the absence of their owners
- Clean any accidents or damage discovered in homes of our clients
- Communicate with Management
Pet Sitter Requirements and Qualifications:
- Northern VA residence within 5 miles of 22301 is preferred
- Must have your own reliable mode of transportation to perform the duties and responsibilities associated with this role
- Must have your own reliable Smart Phone with internet access and data plan
- Must be extremely detail oriented
- Able to follow detailed instructions
- Must be responsible reliable and dependable
- Must be timely and punctual
- Must beable toselfmanage
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be compassionate about animals
- Must feel comfortable working withand interacting with both small and large animals
- Must be willing to walk and drive in all weather conditions
- Must be able to make at least a 6month commitment however longer is preferred
- Must be able to passcriminalbackground check
This is a Part Time SUPPLEMENTAL INCOME position. Compensation is $24$28 per hour plus tips and is paid on a per visit basis.
