Job Description
Position: Wastewater Engineering Department Manager
Location: Bowmansville NY
Duration: Fulltime
Salary: DOE
Description:
As the Department Manager you will lead a dynamic team of water/wastewater engineering professionals. Your leadership will shape project outcomes strengthen client relationships and guide the growth and development of the team. This position is perfect for someone eager to step into a leadership role and influence both technical and team performance.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Civil Chemical Environmental Engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) License.
10 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater engineering.
Strong background in design (construction experience is a plus).
Proficiency in MS Office.
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites and client meetings (including occasional overnight travel).
Proven leadership team management and mentoring skills.
Selfstarter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the Water/Wastewater Engineering Resource Groups project schedules team commitments utilization and deliverables.
Mentor coach and develop technical staff fostering a culture of excellence in design.
Act as the trusted advisor to our water and wastewater clients contributing to business development and securing new project work.
Serve as a technical lead and project manager on medium to largescale projects involving water and wastewater treatment storage pumping and distribution/collection systems.
Lead diagnostic evaluations treatment process improvements and system optimization efforts.
Support asset evaluations and longterm capital planning.
Represent the Water/Wastewater Group in corporate management discussions.
