Job Description
Position Summary:
The SAP FI/CO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) Specialist is responsible for the analysis design configuration and support of the SAP FI/CO module to meet the business needs of the organization. This role involves working closely with business users to understand specific business requirements configuring SAP FI/CO solutions and ensuring that these solutions meet the requirements and function effectively within the SAP ECC 6.0 environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with business users to gather and analyze requirements related to financial accounting and controlling processes.
2. Collaborate with other SAP Specialists (ABAP MDM MM WM SD) for integration and data related matters.
3. Translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical design documents.
4. Configure SAP FI/CO modules (e.g. Chart of Accounts FIGeneral Ledger FIAccounts Payable FIAccounts Receivable FIBank Accounting COControlling Area COCost Element Accounting COCost
Center COProfit Center COInternal Orders) based on business requirements.
5. Customize and enhance the FI/CO module to meet specific business needs ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules.
6. Provide daytoday support for the SAP FI/CO module troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.
7. Perform system maintenance tasks including regular system updates and upgrades.
8. Develop and execute test plans to ensure the functionality and performance of the SAP FI/CO solutions.
9. Perform internal testing to validate and confirm customization or setup accuracy and stability.
10. Coordinate with business users for user acceptance testing (UAT) and obtain signoffs.
11. Prepare detailed documentation of configurations customizations and procedures.
12. Conduct training sessions and create user manuals to facilitate enduser adoption and proficiency.
13. Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose innovative solutions to enhance system efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in information technology Computer Science Accountancy Business Administration or a related field.
Experience:
Proven experience as an SAP FI/CO Specialist or a similar role with handson experience in SAP ECC 6.0.
Strong understanding of financial accounting and controlling processes within a business context.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in configuring SAP FI/CO modules including Chart of Accounts FIGeneral Ledger FIAccounts
Payable FIAccounts Receivable FIBank Accounting COControlling Area COCost Element Accounting COCost Center COProfit Center COInternal Orders.
Knowledge of integration points with other SAP modules (MM WM SD PP).
Ability to write functional specifications for ABAP programming
