Eatons ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Assembly Manager. This position is onsite at our Roanoke VA facility. Relocation within the United States is provided for this opportunity.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $108749.97 $159499.96 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations.
What youll do:
As a member of the Site Leadership Team the Assembly Manager will be responsible for leading the operational performance of the Assembly business leading people and processes to achieve the sites Safety Quality and Customer Requirements. The incumbent will drive continuous improvement serve as a liaison between the Plant Manager and production supervisors and supervise all manufacturing engineering activities to enable production processes are running as efficiently as possible.
In this role you will:
Proactively implement promote and maintain a safe working environment through diligence in incident prevention investigation equipment maintenance and policy enforcement
Fully engage workforce and promote personal accountability by identifying goals and empowering employees to drive decision making
Foster innovation and promote continuous learning by providing formal and informal feedback on employee performance. The Assembly Manager puts specific focus and management on OTD Gross Utilization/Productivity and other key operational metrics
Partner with the Supply Chain department to ensure continuous alignment between demand forecasts and load/capacity plans to optimize schedule execution
Lead the production supervision team headcount planning hiring selection talent development foster a highperforming work team culture performance management for the operations and production workforce
Guide and support facility and capital investment decisions to improve business performance and meet customer demand & quality requirements
Lead the Operations organization ensuring effective talent development and organizational design to achieve the site operational supply chain and financial objectives
Partner with the manufacturing engineering team to provide optimal support to all departments
Drive continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process improvements by applying appropriate Eaton Business System processes and problemsolving tools
Communicate openly and effectively with employees recognizing and rewarding employees for results and teamwork consistent with Eatons high expectations
Support goals related to Safety Quality Delivery Inventory Flex Productivity and People
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant leadership and assembly and/or production experience
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or technical discipline
SAP experience
Six Sigma Black Belt
Lean / six sigma experience
