Responsibilities:
- Builds working relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety representatives
- Ensures compliance with the companys current safety manual policies and expectations conducting project safety reviews as needed
- Creates accurate safety reports and accident investigation documents
- Provides participates and leads staff in safety training and subcontractor development; possesses strong presentation skills
- Represents company in a positive and professional manner with owner and subcontractors
- Creates and facilitates safety training on a variety of subjects that align with particular project schedules
- Builds and maintains relationships with key vendors (subcontractors suppliers architects etc.)
- Participates in safety organizations outside of the company and based in assigned region
- Incorporates regional strategic planning into safety approach
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in a safetyrelated field preferred and/or 10 years safety experience in the construction industry
- CSP or ASP Certification preferred
- Authorized OSHA 500 Trainer
- Current on CPR and First Aid certifications
- SWPP knowledge
- Safety certification from an accredited organization such as BCSP or an equal alternative
- Advanced knowledge of construction processes and procedures preferred
- Proficient in relevant software
- Proven leadership abilities in teambased delivery methods
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities with key vendors including company executives
- Manages time and resource allocation appropriately to provide overall safety leadership to assigned projects
