Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bromsgrove District and Redditch to assist with the appointment of a Parks Development Officer on a 3month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 15.60 19.77 per Hour

Summary:

This role is essential in shaping and delivering improvements across the parks and open spaces increasing public use enhancing biodiversity and supporting strategic and planning functions. You will be responsible for stakeholder engagement service planning contract management and delivering quality improvements aligned with the Leisure and Culture Strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the lead liaison for stakeholders customers and contractors to support project delivery and service improvements.
  • Develop and implement service strategies improvement plans and open space needs assessments.
  • Manage data records accurately and oversee compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Lead the submission and management of Stewardship applications and monitor contract performance.
  • Coordinate and deliver the Green Flag Award programme with internal colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in environmental management landscape architecture biodiversity or a related field (desirable but not essential if supported by equivalent experience).

Experience Required:

  • Demonstrated success in a mid to seniorlevel position in a customerfocused service environment.
  • Experience working within Green Spaces Parks or public open spaces.
  • Prior experience or knowledge in biodiversity landscape management or ecological planning is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage contracts partnerships or externally funded programmes.
