About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Product Design Engineer to lead the development of durable highperformance mechanical products for demanding realworld applications. This handson engineering role involves taking products from concept through production with a strong focus on function durability and innovation. If youre passionate about designing products that endure rugged use and serve critical functions this opportunity offers full ownership of the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical products for performanceintensive applications from concept through production
- Create precise 3D models assemblies and detailed drawings using SolidWorks 2024
- Perform structural analysis and FEA simulations to optimize durability and safety
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure productionready designs
- Build and test prototypes gather data and iterate based on realworld performance
- Select materials and surface finishes suitable for highstrength highuse environments
- Prepare quality control documentation inspection reports and complete BOMs
- Work with suppliers and vendors to support prototyping and production
- Contribute to a continuous improvement culture with a focus on rugged design
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in mechanical product design ideally in heavyduty or highperformance sectors
- Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks 2024
- Solid foundation in FEA stress analysis and design optimization
- Familiarity with metals plastics and manufacturing processes such as welding casting and machining
- Strong skills in GD&T 2D drafting and tolerance analysis
- Detaildriven approach and commitment to highquality longlasting products
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of loadbearing standards or design for transport utility or industrial equipment
- Ability to creatively solve mechanical challenges under realworld constraints
- Experience working in a fastpaced handson development environment
