Job Description
The Ithaca College School of Health Sciences & Human Performance is seeking a Clinical Instructor and Director of Clinical Education for a fulltime temporary (FTT) position in the Department of SpeechLanguage Pathology and Audiology. The successful candidate will teach assigned classes in speechlanguage pathology and serve as the Director of Clinical Education for the Ewing Speech & Hearing Clinic and offsite placements. The Director of Clinical Education is responsible for the clinical education component of the curriculum (including but not limited to clinical practicum and fieldwork placements and clinical supervision) and will be a member of a collaborative team engaging in the redesign of the clinical education curriculum. Qualifications:
Minimum requirements: masters degree in communication disorders; Certificate of Clinical Competence in speechlanguage pathology from the American SpeechLanguageHearing Association; New York State licensure in speechlanguage pathology; minimum of 3 years experience in provision of clinical service; at least 1 year of clinical supervisory experience; potential for excellence in teaching. Minimum of 2 hours continuing education in clinical supervision per ASHA requirements. Preferred characteristics include: prior experience in academic teaching in postsecondary setting; administrative experience; experience in supporting inclusive health initiatives.
