Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

Working closely with and supporting the Senior Finance Manager Development business partnering with the development team. The job functions require considerable attention to detail good organisational skills effective communication and analytical thought. The Development Accountant is responsible for month end process business unit costing for development projects and management reporting. The role will also incorporate detailed analysis monthly and quarterly reporting tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities will include;

  • Monthly & Quarterly financial reporting including preparation and review of P&L and Balance sheet preparation of quarterly reporting packs
  • Monthly management reporting including preparation of monthly management pack month end cost schedules and other project reports for development projects
  • Revision of BAS reports and preparation of FBT Returns
  • Reconciliation of project costs report with project feasibility
  • Preparation of supporting documents required for external and internal audit
  • Participation in monthly project review meetings
  • Assistance with quarterly reforecasts and annual budgeting
  • Assistance with standardising development and finance procedures and processes

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • Experience within property development is essential
  • Financial Accounting experience is essential
  • Analyst experience is advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) applications and Accounting Software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High overall computer literary and IT skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • High level of efficiency accuracy and competence
  • High level numeracy skills
  • Ability to work to tight reporting deadlines and prioritise workloads
  • Highly organised
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • CPA/CA qualified Business / Commerce / Accounting Bachelors degree
