Job Description

As an Operations Manager at Lime you are a market manager for the Chicago area. You are the eyes on the ground and the voice of Lime with city officials community members and businesses promoting safety increasing ridership and understanding of what local riders want. You are the voice of Operations to internal stakeholders and an internal collaborator. You work crossfunctionally with government relations central ops product etc. and will execute the market strategy while optimizing the fleet for the market. Youll directly manage a team of operations coordinators providing guidance and coaching to ensure team targets are met.

The person hired for this role must be within a one hour commute of our Lime Chicago Warehouse.

About the Role

As an Operations Manager you will be responsible for overseeing Limes scooter operations in Chicago. This includes managing both InWarehouse Operations and Street Operations optimizing fleet availability ensuring compliance with city regulations and leading a team to drive operational excellence. You will use datadriven decisionmaking to enhance performance manage key projects and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless and efficient scooter program.

What youll do:

Operations Management:

  • Define and implement an operations strategy for your region that advances the deployment and operation of our vehicles including workforce planning new ridership strategies and competitor monitoring

  • Oversee all aspects of InWarehouse Operations (charging maintenance repairs deployment) and Street Operations (rebalancing retrieval and compliance).

  • Comply and implement EHS and OSHA standards around warehouse management and all working environments

  • Monitor performance and take ownership of key metrics that drive the markets P&L.

  • Ensure high fleet availability and reliability by optimizing processes and leveraging realtime data insights.

  • Build strategies to manage and complete special projects as assigned.

  • Lead safety initiatives and ensure best practices for handling and maintaining Limes fleet.

Data Analysis & Performance Optimization:

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive improvements in fleet uptime operational efficiency and cost control.

  • Use data analytics to optimize deployment rebalancing and vehicle retrieval strategies.

  • Identify trends and insights to make datadriven decisions that improve citywide operations.

Regulatory & Compliance Management:

  • Ensure compliance with Chicago city regulations permits and fleet caps.

  • Stay ahead of policy changes and proactively adjust operations to align with evolving regulations.

Project & Stakeholder Management:

  • Lead crossfunctional projects to enhance operational processes and support business growth.

  • Work closely with internal teams including Government Relations Product and Data Science to align operational strategies with business objectives.

  • Collaborate with thirdparty vendors and contractors to ensure smooth logistics and supply chain operations.

About you:

  • 4 years of experience in operations management industrial & systems engineering logistics transportation supply chain or a related field.

  • Strong data analysis skills: intermediate to advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (required) SQL (preferred) or business intelligence tools.

  • Experience managing teams & individual contributors in a fastpaced dynamic environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception to execution.

  • Familiarity with city regulations and compliance frameworks in mobility transportation or related industries is a plus.

  • Knowledge of how a P&L functions

  • Ability to understand metrics and KPIs and the levers to pull to drive results

  • Comfortable with working on site and in a warehouse environment

  • Analytically minded with a strong understanding of realtime marketplaces (supply and demand economics) and the ability to navigate decode and use data to build compelling narratives and reports.

  • Ability to thrive in a handson problemsolving environment with a high degree of autonomy.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus
