We will rely on your professional expertise to develop implement and maintain methods operation sequence and processes in the manufacturing or fabrication of parts components subassemblies and final assemblies. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will develop strong communications with internal teams to estimate manufacturing costs determine time standards and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. At GDMS we continually seek ways to develop and improve manufacturing methods utilizing our teams knowledge of product design materials and parts fabrication processes tooling and production equipment capabilities assembly methods and quality control standards.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelors degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or a related Science Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 2 years of jobrelated experience or a Masters degree.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities U.S. citizenship is required.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated proficiency in various types on polymer molding processes and equipment selection mold design and material selection.
Considerable professional expertise applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
Works on problems of moderatetocomplex scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
Exercises considerable judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
Builds productive internal/external working relationships
Ability to drive improvement and change through data and knowledge of industry standards
Creative innovative responsibilities requiring advanced decisionmaking skills
May provide work direction to other employees
Considerable knowledge with technical standards manufacturing engineering concepts principles and theories
Considerable understanding of lean techniques and statistical analysis
Keeps abreast of technology trends
Considerable knowledge with manufacturing processes and electrical/mechanical components systems and applications
Considerable proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Considerable written and verbal communications skills
Ability to think creatively
Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision.
Skilled in communicating issues impacts and corrective actions
Considerable ability to clearly recognize and report information relevant to sound manufacturing engineering design
Workplace Options:
This position requires you to work 100% in the facility.
Target salary range: USD $87324.00/Yr. USD $95000.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
