Job Description
Archbishop Curley invites applications for the position of Athletic Director for theacademic year. Located in Baltimore Archbishop Curley High School a Roman Catholic college preparatory school rooted in the Franciscan tradition develops great men. With the support of the entire Archbishop Curley Family each Curley Man is challenged to reach his maximum academic and personal potential in a safe and nurturing environment leading him to be a man of faith character discipline and service to others.
The Archbishop Curley High School Athletic Director is a 12month fulltime position and is wellsuited for one who has experience in athletics and educational leadership. In addition the candidate must be able to relate well on a professional level with faculty staff parents and students and can integrate athletics with other aspects of school life.
Essential Functions
The ability to set a strategic vision for a schools athletic program
The ability to work collaboratively with school administration to further Curleys philosophy and values
Management skills and an ability to supervise the Athletic Department and associated personnel
Leadership skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage the seasonal athletic schedules
Coaching experience in an educational setting
Financial acumen to manage the Athletic Department budget
The ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds
A commitment to educational values through sports
Position Qualifications
- A commitment to Catholic education in the Franciscan tradition
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to motivate others
- A Bachelors Degree in a related field; Masters Degree preferred
- Experience with hiring retaining mentoring and evaluating coaches
Range: $70000 $91000 Annualized
