Injection Molding Operating Technician All shifts
As an IM Operating Technician at Placon we are seeking candidates with excellent communication skills with the ability to stay focused in a fastpaced manufacturing environment. The Injection Molding Operating Technician will be responsible for the setup and successful operation of our Husky Netstal and Engel injection molding machines. These machines are used in high speed thin wall molding of containers and lids. In this process of molding containers the machine is accumulator assisted.
The IM Operating Technician is responsible for preparation setup start and running manufacturing equipment under the guidance of the Production Shift Leader. Accountabilities also include ensuring that jobs meet quality specifications manufacturing standards and that safety procedures are followed while working to continuously improve quality and productivity of manufacturing operations.
IM Op Tech
- Mold setup and removal operate and troubleshoot equipment to produce injection molded parts to specification; while running the machine at or above standard rates
- Ensure maximum efficiency including setup time materials production rate and material consumption.
- Machine readiness inspect machinery equipment and tooling prior to setup.
- Identify issues which adversely affect product requirements and communicate with appropriate department personnel for resolution.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning
- Identify nonconforming materials/products and work with shift leader for resolution
- Complete projects as assigned by the Production Shift Leader
Train other team members on machine operation and other training programs
