The Business Banker IIwill manage and grow relationships with smalltomediumsized businesses with up to $5 million in annual revenues delivering customized financial solutions with total credit exposure of up to $3 million. The incumbent will play a key role in driving business growth by providing expert financial advice and a fullservice business banking to include lending deposit and noncredit products to support the financial goals of business clients. In addition the Business Banker is responsible for endtoend relationship management from sourcing and analyzing client opportunities to structuring loans and monitoring portfolio performance while actively collaborating with internal and external partners to enhance client value. This role is sales driven and requires a proven history of developing new businesses and managing relationships.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities through selfgenerated referrals and an established network of CPAs attorneys business brokers and commercial real estate professionals.
  • Conduct client and prospect meetings to assess their financial needs challenges and opportunities tailoring banking solutions to meet their goals.
  • Prospects new business relationships and cross selling Bank solutions and services.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new and less experienced small business relationship managers on lending procedures policies and regulations and recommends improvements to procedures and provides functional guidance as needed.
  • Partner with internal teams including credit administration operations portfolio managers and product specialists to deliver comprehensive solutions for clients.
  • Mentor and coach junior relationship managers sharing expertise in financial analysis sales strategies and client relationship building.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager deepening client relationships through consistent engagement and crossselling of banking solutions including cash management personal banking and wealth management solutions.
  • Function as the gatekeeper for the bank ensuring clients are aware of and benefit from the full range of banking solutions and services.
  • Provide exceptional customer service proactively addressing client concerns and identifying opportunities to enhance their banking experience.
  • Manage an active loan portfolio ensuring compliance with loan terms polices and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews to identify risks monitor payment trends and address early warning signs of potential issues.
  • Collaborate with credit and portfolio management teams to ensure timely renewal of loans and updates to client profiles.
  • Perform comprehensive financial analysis including review of financial statements credit reports and cash flow projections to determine creditworthiness. Develop and recommend loan structures repayment schedules and collateral requirements in alignment with client needs and the banks credit policies. Negotiate loan terms ensuring a mutually beneficial agreement while adhering to regulatory and compliance guidelines.

This is a fulltime position that will serve within our Delaware market.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business or finance preferred or equivalent experience demonstrated through a combination of the following: work and military experience and education/training.
  • Experienced Business Lender with a minimum 5 years of new business development experience and direct sourcing and prospecting new clients
  • A minimum of 5 years of business lending experience in the financial industry along with a proven history of managing relationships developing new business sustaining consistent production and ability to perform in multiple goal categories.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with key internal resources.
  • Must have experience with utilizing a CRM system to manage and monitor progress in sales pipeline toward converting prospects to customers.
  • Must have strong knowledge of business lending consumer lending and deposit products.
  • Must have credit experience loan structuring and financial statement analysis
  • Must have proficiency with analyzing applicant financial status credit and property evaluation to determine ability and capacity to repay and service debt.
  • Basic Knowledge of all applicable Regulations that pertain to this position is required.
  • Knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and AntiMoney Laundering policies procedures and related programs.
