Job Description
SUMMARY: Perform diversified duties to organize and conduct therapeutic recreation activities.
Reports To: Coordinator Therapeutic Recreation
Titles Supervised: N/A
Schedule: Parttime 20 hrs. per week Evenings/Weekends
Sundays 9:30am 11:30am & 1:00pm 8:00pm
Mondays 5:00pm 9:00pm
Tuesdays 5:30pm 8:00pm
Wednesdays 5:30pm 8:00pm
Thursdays 5:30pm 8:00pm
DUTIES
Essential Responsibilities:
and carryout appropriate group activities and onetoone sessions to enhance sensory motor cognitive and psychosocial skills.
documentation of resident/patient assessment progress notes attendance MED A documentation discharge summaries in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
MDS/care plan data and attend RCP meetings.
resident to and from scheduled activity area. Prepare activity area.
inventory of equipment and supplies and notify Coordinator of needs.
Mozaic Senior Life vehicles as required for outings; attend and participate in a variety of staff meetings. Maintain regular attendance.
TRA will exhibit leadership qualities mentor residents and engage them when participating in recreation programs.
TRA will demonstrate the ability to facilitate group process and will also be able to manage the interpersonal needs of the residents.
TRA will demonstrate the ability to assess and document the needs and progress of the residents.
TRA will participate on Resident community outings as required demonstrating Resident safety.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors Degree and TRD Certification
Experience: 23 years experience working as a TRA in a longterm care facility.
Licensure: Valid drivers license
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to handle multiple demands and deadlines; Ability to read and communicate effectively; Ability to utilize various software packages to carry out position responsibilities.
