Job Description

Job Title: External Auditor

Pay: $17$19 per hour

FLSA Status: Hourly NonExempt

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Company Summary:Midwest Petroleum is a retail petroleum and convenience store chain based in St. Louis Mo. We began operating in 1946 and since 2002 the St. Louis Business Journal has recognized us as one of the top 150 privately owned businesses in St. Louis. Midwest Petroleum operates 60 stores within a 150mile radius that employs approximately 600 employees. Midwest Petroleum markets fuel through the ZX Conoco and Phillips 66 brands.

Primary Purpose of Job:As an External Auditor for Midwest Petroleum Company you will be responsible for the auditing procedures for all retail locations. External Auditors will also ensure accurate inventory reports to help control store asset balances. You will use handheld scanners to manually inventory all merchandise at the assigned location. Once the audit is completed the auditor team will upload the results so the Operation and Finance team can review.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Travel to retail locations to perform inventory audits.
  • Up to four hours a day
  • Utilize a handheld scanner to count inventory.
  • Enter any unscannable items into Midwests ticketing system.
  • Ability to work independently or with other members of the auditing team.
  • Communicate with Midwest managers and employees to ensure all inventory is found and counted.
  • Follow proper rules and procedures to ensure safety and provide accurate information.
  • Handle any other work that can be assigned at the supervisors discretion.

Education/Experience Qualifications

Highschool Diploma

Minimum 1 year of retail experience

Physical RequirementsThis position is performed in a fastpaced environment with frequent exposure to general office equipment beverage equipment coolers and any other sitespecific equipment/factors. You could also encounter exposure to hazardous materials and loud noises. This job requires the ability to walk stand bend and reach regularly. Must be able to frequently be required to lift push or pull weight of at least 5 to 75 pounds. Ability to work in different Midwest Petroleum Stations. Job Type: Fulltime

Pay: $17.00 $19.00 per hour
