Hybrid: Position requires that theemployee be onsite a minimum of three (3) days each week (Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays). You will be based out of Milford Proving Grounds.
The Role:
Vehicle Mechatronics Embedded Controls (VMEC) Electrified Propulsion Integration is responsible for endtoend Propulsion Controls/SW for all EV and (P)HEV GM Vehicles. Our product scope covers requirement setting controls diagnostics software calibration development and deployment. We are a highly capable engineering team that focuses on delivering with quality scalability agility and customervalue added excellence; and we always continue to grow innovate and excel.
We are looking for an Engineering Group Manager for the Electrified Propulsion Software team that leads the requirements controls diagnostics and software development to support the growing Electrification business!

What Youll Do (Responsibilities):
- Enable selforganizing empowered teams to deliver Electrified Propulsion Software product ontime with quality help develop actionable strategy and support execution in an agile framework
- Foster an environment for highperforming team dynamics continuous flow and relentless improvement
- Mentor coach and develop employees and their careers
- Establish and monitor budget for responsible activities
- Execute resource planning for required activities
- Model and foster GMs Core Values and Winning Behaviors
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering to include Mechanical Electrical Computer Science Computer Engineering and Mathematics.
- Minimum 7 years of engineering experience related to embedded control system calibration related hardware and/or safety critical system development
- Demonstrated results in successful project execution
- Excellent multifunctional communication and leadership skills able to get multiple teams moving in the same direction
- Demonstrated ability to Deal with Ambiguity while driving timely decision making
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master of Science in Engineering and/or Master of Business Administration
- Leadership experience of teams of engineers responsible for developing or testing embedded control systems or related hardware
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results through effective teamwork lead numerous projects with different focal areas to successful completion and manage and measure work through metrics data and results
- Prior experience in Electrification domains
- Experience managing a global team that is geographically dispersed
- Working knowledge of embedded controls development tool set (e.g. IBM Rational Tool Suite Jira/Jama Git ecosystem MatLabSimulink ETAS)
