About the Role:
Were seeking a skilled Electrical Supervisor to join our Smithfield Board Plant. This is a fulltime permanent role based on a Day shift 35hour week with overtime available.
- Flexible start times from 4.30am 6am finishing 3.30pm Mon Thurs and early finish Fri at 12.30pm
- Saturdays available must be flexible to work minimum 2 Saturdays per month and available if needed for the others
- Daily overtime applies after 35hour week and all weekend hours paid at double time
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager youll play a vital role in keeping our plant running smoothly and safely.
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Overlook and supervise daily operations of the electrical department working hand in hand with the Mechanical Supervisor to ensure the site is supported by Maintenance.
- Ensure ongoing electrical support to the production team and upkeep of machinery and equipment to minimise downtime.
- Perform routine electrical tests complete planned maintenance and attend breakdowns.
- Oversee and support installation and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Use continuous improvement to ensure optimal safety efficiency and quality.
- Mentor and guide electrical team on best practice and safety.
What You Will Bring to the Team:
- Electrical Qualifications with an Electrical Licence (ideally Supervisor).
- Must have Manufacturing experience ideally within a maintenance team.
- Leadership experience or a passion for mentoring junior team members.
- Experience in Automated machinery PLCs and Drives beneficial.
- Adhere uphold and maintain OHS policies and procedures.
