DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Melbourne Flinders Street is conveniently located opposite the historic Flinders Street Station and is within walking distance of corporate offices the famous Melbourne Laneways and the South Bank precinct. Along with their worldfamous chocolate chip cookies DoubleTree features include 187 guest rooms a restaurant and bar fully equipped gym and meeting & event spaces.


About the Role

As a Maintenance Assistant you are responsible for carrying out appropriate maintenance work promptly and to the highest standards to deliver an excellent guest and team member experience. A Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest
standards:

  • Carry out maintenance repair work and respond to enquires efficiently
  • Work cooperatively as part of the Maintenance team
  • Follow planned preventative maintenance programmes
  • Build good relationships with guests team members and contractors
  • Ensure energy conservation initiatives are implemented
  • Ensure our hotel is compliant in regards to legal requirements including fire health and safety hygiene electricity at work and all local bylaws

What are we looking for

Were on the lookout for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team for 3 shifts per week (mostly during weekdays) To successfully fill this role you should embody our Hilton values and bring the following:

  • Good communication skills
  • Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
  • Ability to work on their own and with the Maintenance team
  • Previous maintenance experience including plumbing painting and decorating.
