We anticipate a need for one or more Apprentice Lineman/Journeyman (5th Step or higher) to be located at either our Edina Service Center in Edina MN or Chestnut Service Center in Minneapolis MN or Maple Grove Service Center in Maple Grove MN. The starting Journeyman Lineman rate of pay for this position is $60.31 position will be posted for 10 Working Days from August 28 2025 to September 11 2025.
For an Advanced Step Apprentice the wage rates are:
5th Step Apprentice Lineman: 80% of Journeyman Lineman Rate
6th Step Apprentice Lineman: 85% of Journeyman Lineman Rate
7th Step Apprentice Lineman:90% of Journeyman Lineman Rate
8th Step Apprentice Lineman: 95% of Journeyman Lineman Rate
For a Journeyman Lineman the wage rate is $60.31 hourly.
Summary
In this position you will work as part of a team that is responsible for construction maintenance and emergency repairs of all overhead and underground distribution and transmission systems.
Required
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess a degree/diploma from an accepted Line School or a state issued Journeyman certificate for an Advanced step position.
Must possess a state issued Journeyman certificate and pass a company skills assessment for a Journeyman position.
Must meet driver qualification requirements including the possession of a valid Commercial Class A Drivers License.
Must be physically capable of performing all aspects of electric overhead and underground distribution construction operations and maintenance work.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to successfully work with customers on a wide range of concerns.
Must be able to attend and pass all extended training.
Must work well with others and exhibit teamwork attitude.
Must exhibit a high awareness of safety and compliance with all company safety rules
Special Requirements:
Requires participation in after-hours emergency call outs.
This position is subject to D.O.T. random drug and alcohol testing program.
