The Intern position requires an individual who is responsible organized and versatile. Having computer skills and a willingness to learn. The ability to work in a fastpaced environment is a plus. This program is intended to expose the intern to a variety of skills needed to be successful in the criminal justice field.
Interns will have the opportunity to choose an area of focus to spend most of their hours once all areas have been observed. This area of focus will be concentrated on for the remainder of the internship to allow interns to explore areas of interest in depth.
Expected outcomes for the intern: Familiarity with Community Corrections and the function/daily operations of each department by the end of the internship experience. The intern will be familiar with the goals and purpose of the agency as well as roles of each position within the agency. Interns will gain a general understanding of all departments as well as an advanced understanding of one department of their choosing.
