Job Description

Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County (BGCLC) is a place for kids to laugh a place to learn a place to grow and a place to belong. For more than 30 years BGCLC has served the youth in Larimer County. Through amazing programs caring staff and a safe atmosphere we give youth a place to go when they need support care and most importantly fun. We give youth a place to call home.


BGCLC is looking for a Marketing & Events intern to assist in planning promoting and executing events and marketing initiatives that engage our community and support our mission. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in event management marketing strategy and nonprofit operations.


KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

  • Collaborate with the Development Manager to plan and execute special events including tasks such as vendor communication obtaining in-kind donations and donor data tracking.
  • Utilize CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database to generate reports and compile mailing lists
  • Help organize and fulfill partner benefits (i.e. prepare partnership agreements log deliverables)
  • Serve as a liaison with Club staff to organize materials for community events
  • Help recognize donors for their contributions and assist in keeping regular communication with BGCLC stakeholders
  • Draft internal and external communications with key constituents including donors families and staff
  • Help create presentation slides for internal and external events
  • Perform website edits including basic updates and posts
  • Assist with ordering BGCLC promotional items & materials
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Communications Director to gather content such as photos and testimonials
  • Add events to local community calendars to increase event visibility


Performs other related duties and responsibilities including supporting Club operations as required or

as assigned.


The pay for this part time non-exempt position is $17.00 per hour 10-12 hours per weekThe duration of this internship if from September 2025-May 2026.
Requirements

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Must be a current student at an accredited college or university
  • Interest in working in a nonprofit setting
  • Must be highly organized and efficient
  • Must have strong communications skills
  • Must maintain professionalism within the organization and with external audiences
  • Knowledge and experience with softwares including Microsoft Excel Google Suite Canva Adobe Express preferred



Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • The work environment is the typical youth mentorship or after-school environment and/ or office environment. The environment can be loud stressful complicated and constant interruptions throughout the workday/shift. The employee must be comfortable performing multi-faceted projects demonstrate superior interpersonal abilities-able to interact effectively with children and co-workers of all levels as well as with representatives of other organizations and institutionsability to get along with diverse personalities: tact maturity and flexibility.
  • The office is located on a second floor with no elevator access.

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to work in a fast-paced environment with requirements that include: sight speaking hearing reaching listening sitting standing stooping.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and should do so in a sound and safe manner. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is chaotic and loud.
