Job Description
We are seeking a strategic Buyer with experience in sheet metal and detailed parts procurement to support a 12month aerospace project. The ideal candidate will lead supplier localization efforts manage inventory reduction initiatives and coordinate supplier transitions while ensuring alignment with aerospace quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the endtoend procurement process for sheet metal and detailed machined parts according to program and technical requirements.
- Identify assess and localize qualified suppliers in Mexico to meet cost lead time and compliance objectives.
- Negotiate supplier agreements and coordinate supplier transition processes minimizing supply chain risk.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (engineering quality logistics) to ensure successful onboarding and ongoing performance of suppliers.
- Implement inventory reduction strategies to improve working capital and optimize lead times.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable aerospace standards (e.g. AS9100) and customerspecific requirements.
Qualifications :
Required Profile:
- Proven experience in procurement of sheet metal components and detailed parts ideally within the aerospace or precision manufacturing industry.
- Strong background in supplier localization negotiation and inventory optimization.
- Experience managing supplier transitions while ensuring uninterrupted production.
- Proficient in ERP/MRP systems (SAP Oracle or equivalent).
- Advanced English communication skills (spoken and written).
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Jacare Brazil.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering Aerospace Engineering Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Preferred: Additional training or certification in strategic sourcing aerospace procurement or supply chain management.
