What You Will Do


We are currently seeking an adaptable successful and experienced Business Development Manager for one of our Partner Success teams focusing primarily on Global Distribution Partnerships. Your goal will be to identify new opportunities with the largest most strategic partners and provide them with all the resources they need to achieve their growth objectives helping Klarna become everyones favorite way to shop.

You will

  • Build and execute jointly agreedupon business plans with partners or merchants to drive mutual growth and success.
  • Work closely with internal analysts delivery and marketing teams at Klarna to drive enablement and lead generation activities.
  • Identify new partnerships or business opportunities pitch Klarnas services and close deals.
  • Manage and support key accounts including PSPs Platforms and Group Retail Brands.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets contributing to the overall growth of the company.
  • Build strong relationships both on an executive and individual level.
  • Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships including csuite.
  • Conduct extensive market research to position Klarna as best as possible.
  • Network effectively with local clients and develop strong professional relationships.
  • Ensure deadlines are met and budgets are maintained.
  • Create and deliver/present Quarterly Business Reviews to members of Partners Csuite teams.
  • Adapt the business model to be culturally relevant without losing its identity.
  • Play an important role in taking Klarna to the next level.


Who You Are

  • 3 years in Business Development/Account Management/Sales.
  • Experience in retail payments or ecommerce.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strategic thinker with a resultsdriven mindset and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written) and Dutch.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem ecommerce platforms and fintech solutions.
  • Proven experience in business development sales or a related role within the payments ecommerce or fintech industries.


Awesome to Have

  • Additional language skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales tools.
  • Knowledge of global market trends in fintech and ecommerce.
