Job Description
Location: Albuquerque NM 87106
Type: Permanent FullTime Local & Travel Candidates Welcome
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours/week
- Pay Range: $31 $33 per hour
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to become a vital part of our rehabilitation team. In this role you will work under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver compassionate and effective therapy services to patients helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Provide direct therapeutic interventions focused on daily living skills and functional improvement.
- Accurately document patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising OT.
- Collaborate with patients caregivers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and families on techniques to enhance independence.
- Maintain compliance with all documentation and facility requirements.
- Engage in staff meetings ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license (NM).
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience (new graduates encouraged to apply).
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Travel Considerations:

Travel pay available for candidates residing more than 50 miles from the facility.
