Amazons eCommerce Foundation (eCF) organization is responsible for the core components that drive the Amazon website and customer experience. Serving millions of customer page views and orders per day eCF builds for scale. As an organization within eCF the Business Data Technologies (BDT) group is no exception. We collect petabytes of data from thousands of data sources inside and outside Amazon including the Amazon catalog system inventory system customer order system page views on the website and Alexa systems. We provide interfaces for our internal customers to access and query the data hundreds of thousands of times per day using Amazon Web Services (AWS) Redshift Hive Spark and Oracle. We build scalable solutions that grow with the Amazon business.
BDT is growing and the data processing landscape is shifting. Our data is consumed by thousands of teams across Amazon including Research Scientists Machine Learning Specialists Business Analysts and Data Engineers. BDT team is building an enterprisewide Big Data Marketplace leveraging AWS technologies. We enable teams at Amazon to produce analytical data in any form of storage (S3 DynamoDB Aurora etc. and process that data using any type of compute environment such as EMR/Spark Redshift Athena and others via a common bus.
Enterprise Data & Catalog (EDC)s vision is to provide unified data storage and catalog providing finegrained access controls and enriched descriptive metadata across all Amazon data for all commonly used formats and storage types. Our mission is to provide a common platform to make Amazon data easily discovered explained explored for lineage and relationships securely exchanged and enabled for compliance. We catalog the What When Why Producer Consumers Lineage relationships and Trustworthiness of datasets across Amazon. With standard and stable data access contracts and finegrain access control we enable integration of Amazon and AWS data tools for easy secure and compliant access. Having a single augmented catalog for all Amazon we bridge the gap between data lakes and answer key data governance questions. This platform empowers Amazon to drive business insights via analytics and machine learning.
We are looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) who is capable of breaking down and solving complex problems and has a strong will to get things done! TPMs at Amazon work on real world problems on a global scale. They own their systems end to end and influence the direction of our technology which impacts hundreds of millions of customers around the world. Responsible for the endtoend project management functions of large programs including planning risk and issue management tradeoffs and .
Create maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders.
Effectively cooperate with customers technical staff and leaders business leaders and executives in different geographical locations to define and deliver complex features.
Ability to make sense of ambiguity define and plan programs in a fast paced and highlytechnical organization and secure buyin from internal and external stakeholders

7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
5 years of technical product or program management experience
3 years of software development experience
5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multimillion dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
