The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine is seeking a Faculty Interventional Psychiatrist to pioneer advanced neuromodulation treatments in our psychiatry department in Tyler TX.
This role offers a unique opportunity to specialize in Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Ketamine treatments with full training provided if needed. The position is divided equally between clinical interventions 50 and teaching psychiatry residents 50 making it ideal for those passionate about both patient care and medical education.
Your Work:
Conduct pre and posttreatment psychiatric assessments to ensure effective patient care.
Supervise and teach psychiatry residents integrating them into treatment plans and clinic operations.
Lead followup clinics to monitor patient progress posttreatment.
Help bridge a significant treatment gap as this is the first position of its kind within the department.
Participate in a shared call rotation with future interventional psychiatry team members (faculty remain in the general call pool)
