This is a hiring event which will take place on May 15th at 3pm at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge. You will need to register to participate in the event. Interviews will take place onsite.
Overview
The Security Officer provides a physically safe and secure environment for patients visitors and employees at Sentara Hospitals and Freestanding Emergency Departments. .
Education
- High School Degree (Required)
Certification/Licensure
- No specific certification or licensure requirements
Experience
- The Security Officer actively patrols campus and monitors activity in and around buildings and grounds and responds appropriately to routine and emergency situations.
- This individual performs camera surveillance maintains department logs and records uses computer skills for documentation of daily activities conducts security investigations evaluates situations and takes appropriate steps for professional and timely resolution.
To bolster safety and security for our patients and team members Sentara has implemented a Fit for Duty assessment to ensure that our officers meet a minimum standard of fitness.
The fourpart assessment includes a response walk a stair climb a drag to safety and a lift.
