From making quick sketch to highquality presentation models and exploring biomaterials and unconventional techniques modelmaking allows us to test evaluate and communicate ideas while discovering innovative methods and materials.
In our Modelshop in Copenhagen physical models are key tools in our continuous journey of experimentation refining our craft expanding our capabilities and deepening our understanding of what makes design truly meaningful.
What will you be doing
As a Modelshop intern you will contribute to our research on improving the circularity of the modelmaking process and exploring innovative and biobased materials for modelmaking.
You will create architectural models for design concept studies competitions or exhibitions around the world. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within the office and communicate daily on their design development. As part of the team you will assist in exploring ideas and concepts through physical models. You will experiment daily find creative solutions and often try out unconventional techniques.
You will be working with laser cutting 3D printing mold making and casting woodworking and hard tools upcycled and biomaterials.
Additionally you will assist with the general maintenance of machinery and maintain a tidy and organized workspace ensuring efficiency and safety.
