About the Treasury Manager role
Were looking for an experienced Treasury Manager to play a foundational role in shaping Floats treasury function. This is a unique opportunity for a finance professional to marry operational excellence with innovation. We are looking for a candidate who has contributed to the growth of a treasury function and is eager to apply their expertise and lessons learned to drive success in our organization.
As the Treasury Manager at Float:
Overseeing daily cash balances cash flow forecasting and ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs
Developing implementing and executing strategies to mitigate financial risks specifically foreign exchange risk
Preparing financial reports with regards to the health of our assets under management (AUM) and our overall cash risk
Develop and deploy automated systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in cash management operations minimizing manual interventions
Collaborate in crossfunctional teams to provide insights and analysis regarding AUM
A few must have experiences:
56 years of experience in a cash management or treasury role at a fast growing fintech company
Intermediate level knowledge of SQL
Robust analytical problemsolving and processimprovement skills coupled with proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel including large data set manipulation
Strong attention to detail and can be relied upon to provide thorough wellreasoned and accurate results
Able to work with a high degree of selfdirection along with the capability to thrive in a fastmoving environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate teamwork skills in a growing team
Youll be great in this role if:
Youre an owner. You love producing reporting packages with your stamp of ownership on it. You take great satisfaction in answering questions from stakeholders that want to understand the details to a greater degree. You can even anticipate what the questions might be and prepare answers prior to being asked.
You understand the business context. Youll be more effective if you understand not just how to book the journal entry but also why youre doing it i.e. how will this impact the financial reporting and drive decisions.
Youre comfortable with a fastpaced environment. Float is a dynamic environment and things can change quickly. You should be flexible and able to adapt to changes as they occur.
You have spectacular attention to detail. You take pride in being thorough and accurate. Youre a stickler for detail and rarely miss important information required to complete a task.
You ruthlessly prioritize. You will have multiple responsibilities and projects. Being able to effectively manage your workload and meet deadlines is crucial.
This role wont be a fit if:
Youre not extremely detail oriented
You dont like working in a fast paced environment
You are not open to a hybrid role
You arent a selfstarter and dont like to work independently
You are not organized and efficient
You dont like change and adapting to new ways of doing things
You lack patience for iterative work
Youre not keen on learning new things
You dont have strong stakeholder management skills
You dont like regular feedback on your work
